The Cult of the Dragon Below

The Cult of the Dragon Below is a group of mostly kobolds living in the undercity, approximately beneath Forgelight. Their symbol is a dragon's wing below a line. They worship "the Dragon Below": Aciriyar, the Great Teacher, who once taught the giants magic, and is said to have died of a broken heart when they were punished for repeating their greatest wrong. Their lair is protected by a series on traps on multiple levels to protect them from the wandering undead and snoops.
Their leader is Grir, an elderly red kobold, scales turning white and flakey, dressed in once-fine captain's garb; he leans on a boat hook like a cane and carries a massive, locked tome on his back. Rendel, an old (though not nearly as old as Grir) cleric is Grir's protege.
Most recently, the Cult of the Dragon Below has been carefully inspecting the undercity for the Tentacle of Shargon, leaving X's in chalk when a corridor has been cleared. Two kobolds who were doing this in an area approximately beneath Stormhaven witnessed a masked figure conducting a ritual to raise the dead from the Stormreach necropolises in Marketplace, Respite, and Harbor.
