Anatomy

The creature is a formidable presence, measuring about 2.5m in length and weighing up to 250kg. Its skin is a scaly, greenish hue with patches of light green hair. Its most distinctive feature is its fake mouth, which is used to lure prey towards it. When it's ready to strike, it opens its neck, revealing a massive gullet that can swallow even larger creatures whole. The creature has webbed feet and a long twin-tail that aids it in swimming and hunting.

This swamp-dwelling predator is known to grow rapidly, reaching full size within a few years. It has no defined stages of development, instead undergoing a steady growth rate throughout its life. Its reproductive cycle remains a mystery to scientists, as it rarely mates in captivity.

Its preferred habitat consists of dense, overgrown areas with a high concentration of prey, such as smaller animals that frequently fall into the swamp. This beast is primarily found in humid regions, especially in the tropics.

Behaviour

The creature is a solitary hunter, only coming together with others of its kind to mate. It's a patient and cunning predator, biding its time in the water until prey falls into its trap. It's fiercely territorial, aggressively defending its hunting grounds from any potential rivals. The creature has been observed to be extremely intelligent and shows signs of learning, adapting its hunting strategies to suit the environment. Despite its predatory nature, it has been known to show compassion towards its offspring, nurturing and protecting them until they are old enough to fend for themselves.
