Backstory

Xid was originally born into a noble family in Satros. Growing up, she experienced the luxury of being a spoiled only child, the youngest among her cousins with no expectations set on her other than following the household rules. Which of course she never did. Often persuading her older cousins to take part in her schemes and playing the innocent naive child when caught. Her mother (Tantia) is of the noble family. She had Xid with an unknown elf, who she refuses to talk about. Xid suspects that her father might have been a spy. Shortly after Xid came to be, her mother married a commoner human (Markus) which was unpresidented and brought a lot of problems with the other Shardwoven on her mother's plate. This strain on their connection to the household deteriorated with time to the point where they abandoned the family entirely.
Xid always had a good relationship with Markus, considering him her real father. After leaving the Shardwoven family behind them, they moved into his tinkering shop where he created and repaired anything and everything. As she got older, he introduced her to the work and she quickly became invested in it. With time when her magical amplitude started to show, she even started integrating her magical essence into some of the things they fixed and created. All the while her mother, still having troubles sometimes shedding her aristocratic ways, dragging her away from the work-bench in between to teach her how to play the lyre in a strict manner. Stating: "One can only get so far with dirty hands".
Xid now spends her days playing in taverns, helping in the shop, drinking and travelling around every now and then. Markus is getting old and can't work as well anymore, so she tries to bring in additional revenue with her music. In secret, she often takes part in sabotaging the Shardwoven's businesses with other people who might have a motive against the family. She is set on improving her magical abilities. Privately, she also hopes to one day maybe even find out more about her biological father.
