Pepper

The Fire side's most important plant is the pepper. They grow almost every kind except the green ones because everything Lavena grows has to be hot colors like pink, red, orange, and yellow otherwise the Fire humans won't eat it. The fire humans love peppers because even though everything Lavena grows has a bit more spice than usual, Peppers are the spiciest there is. They put dried pepper flakes or pepper slices on almost everything. Over the years they have come up with a lot of different ways to use this vegetable to make their dishes spicy. They might even use them to decorate a birthday cake

but, they don't just eat peppers.They use them for dye to color things. This includes spicy food dye, hair dye, and clothes dye. They use only peppers for dye because it is one species that comes in all different colors so the texture of the dye stays the same even when you have different colors of dye.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The shape and texture is the same as regular peppers. The only thing that's different is that it tastes a bit more spicy.

Genetics and Reproduction

One tenth of the peppers they grow are sliced open for the seeds so the farmers can grow more peppers since they are in very high demand. Once the seeds are extracted they usually donate the peppers to near by restaurants to see if the cheifs can salvage whats left of the pepper. They do this to waste less food.

The peppers usually grow in about 2 weeks when they are somewhere where there is a temperature at least 90 degrees Fahrenheit .

They grow all the peppers at The Lava Plains of Lavena.

They can grow all year round if the temperature stays hot enough.
