Dragonblood Spell in Xeovis | World Anvil

Dragonblood

Dragonblood is a trait that can be granted by ancient dragons which marks the recipient as a friend of dragons.   Humanoid dragons (Drakkin, Dragonkin) do not automatically receive this trait, as it can only be granted by an ancient dragon, such as Erkhai or Alkhai. The higher ranks of Dragonblood can provide additional benefits, such as the second rank's ability to telepathically speak with a dragon over a short distance.   The trait also confers a straight bonus to stats, which is not as beneficial at higher levels as a percentage bonus, but especially at lower levels (below 20), the bonus can greatly increase survivability and combat prowess, while higher ranks also allow a bearer of this trait to increase the number of dragons with whom the bearer can be bonded. At Rank V, a small army of dragons can be bonded, and if each is raised from a dragonling with the others, can be trained to work as a single unit, providing aerial support, ground support, reconnaissance, or just companionship on a long journey.
