Perhaps once mortals, or maybe otherworldly entities who resided in the Lower Planes that manifested in the Material Plane for a time? It is unknown which is the truth. But, what is known, is for the time they resided in Xinithia, they overthrew Kings, destabilized societies, and brought monoliths crumbling down. This was their way of striking back against the Gods, who "rejected" and "ignored" their existences. Where they were banished too after the Cataclysm of Cordillum is unknown, but it is believed they were sent to all different manner of Planes of existence. Now only stories are told about the Lords, and the few cults that seek to bring them back as punishment to the gods for abondoning them.
Brustron, The Devourer
Father to all chromatic dragon-kind, and Assassin of Kings. Known to be the more theatrical of the Lords, he enjoyed terrorizing civilians by taking political figureheads and Kings, and decapitating them while miles in the sky, before dropping them to the earth. In his rampage against the Gods, Brustron laid low the cities of Xinithia, bringing once-great civilizations crumbling down. He was single-handedly responsible for the fires that burnt the Harsano Valley of Dobro, to this day the valley remains a burnt wasteland where nothing grows, at least nothing good. It is speculated that the Gods banished Brustron to the Elemental Plane of Fire, and locked him away within the pyres that never cease, but that is merely a theory.
Eyraleth, the Deceiver
Considered to be one of the most dangerous of the Lords of Catastrophe. Eyraleth was responsible for mass plagues and famine all across Xinithia. Often going under the guise of a traveling Silver Elf in need of aid, she had fooled many with her performance and left, what poor souls that fell for her trickery, in a lethargic state. In her time on the Material Plane, she killed thousands, if not more, through starvation and sickness. Her favored plague, often took form in the victim's body parts slowly dying and eroding away, while their intestines were liquified. There is much speculation on what Plane she was banished to, with so many different theories, but the most common is that she was banished to the Plane of the Dead, far beyond the veil. But it is merely speculation.
Itrix, The Conquerer
General of Nova-Ru's forces of the Hells, and strongest of the Lords in terms of physical strength. Itrix was responsible for sacking towns, villages, and cities after the citizens had been thrown into a massive panic by Brustron's theatrics. Itrix and Brustron worked closely together, and it is speculated that they were indeed concubines as well. In the end, Itrix would conquer the majority of Dobro, and a few settlements within Thessia. But before she could truly get a foothold in Thessia, the Calamity of Cordillum happened, halting her plans and, like the rest of the Lords, she was banished to another Plane. Surprisingly no one speaks of Itrix much, as there is much fear that surrounds that name, any and all speculations as to her Planar location is halted by the fear that even mentioning her name will give her some modicum of power over you. This is complete and utter superstition.
Lucien, the Fallen
An Aasimar, a gift, given from the Gods, Lucien would go on to betray his family, friends, and his Kingdom. Heir to the throne of Ruto, central Kingdom of Dobro, he was passed over for King in favor of his younger brother. He then came to find out why, it was revealed to him, that he was a bastard. It was no secret that his features did not reflect the King at all. But for the Queen, the King raised him as his own but refused to allow Lucien to succeed him on the throne over his own flesh-and-blood. Upon learning this, Lucien left Ruto and wandered Dobro, for years. In his self-imposed exile, he slowly began to drive himself mad. And it is believed this is what led to his betrayal, the final "nail in the coffin" was when the Tyrant, Nova-Ru approached him and promised him everything he ever wanted and more. After this Lucien returned and killed the King, Queen, and his brother, and so began his reign over Ruto, and Dobro. He ruled with an iron grip, and would often give in to fits of deranged laughter, or sudden violent outburst, towards citizens and guards alike. Nova-Ru would have Lucien use the armies of Dobro to fight in their war against the peoples of Dobro, to create civil unrest. Needless to say, Lucien was one of the weaker Lords, being more on the level of a very powerful Warlock. But like the others, he was still dangerous enough to warrant being bound and banished to another Plane.
Nova-Ru, the Tyrant
The Lord of Darkness, a being who glides through oceans of blood, a monster whose power radiates darkness that casts a shadow on death itself, evil incarnate... Nova-Ru was the most powerful of the Lords of Catastrophe and was the one who brought the Lords together. Its appearance alone is enough to induce madness, its power, immeasurable. With its own two hands, it carved out an entirely new Plane, where it committed unspeakable acts, creating creatures, monsters, and aberrations. And when it was done crafting its forces for war and conquest on the Material Plane, it expanded, creating 9 more layers within said Plane, which would house their children, devils, demons, and fiends. When on the Material Plane Nova-Ru did very little beyond giving orders to the other Lords, but when forced to dirty their hands, none were spared this being's cruel and voracious appetite for destruction and mayhem. Nova-Ru was least affected by the Calamity of Cordillum and so they were the first to be banished and bound to another Plane, though many wonder how long the binds that hold it will keep it restrained.
Yjarnham, the False-God
Believed to be some form of Genasi, and highly skilled in the arcane. Yjarnham bewildered masses with his acts of magic, creating new life and bringing the dead back from beyond the veil. He would go on to have a massive cult following that believed him to be a new God. It is unclear how he came to be in the company of the Lords of Catastrophe, but with the cult he led, he convinced many that he was indeed a newborn God. Though his vanity would be his undoing, for the concept of the Obsidian Spears was his, and he convinced Nova-Ru to aid him in constructing them on Cordillum, promising him that it would give them the power they needed to ascend. Needless to say, this did not come to pass. It is speculated that Yjarnham is bound where the Elemental Planes of Air and Water collide, cast deep within the large frozen tundra, never to spread his false god-hood again.
Ziana, the Silent-Blade
Little is known about Ziana, beyond that, she was an agent of Nova-Ru's. The cloak and dagger of the Lords, blending into the shadows as if she was nothing but a shade herself. When the Lords wanted someone removed in a clandestine nature, Ziana was the chosen Lord to do so. As to how many she killed, we can only speculate that the number is too great to even theorize. As to the Plane she is bound to, we believe she may have been cast into the Elemental Plane of Light, where the radiance drowns out every shadow.
