Meltdown

Meltdown is a condition similar to overheat and blowout. Meltdown is part of the triad of conditions related to high core temperature. In meltdown, the temperature of the core rises to moderately high levels and the core's metal parts begin to slowly melt. This almost always leads to core blowout, which is fatal.
In some cases it can be treated, however most survivors of the condition develop other maladies caused by the liquefied metal and heat.
