Arrival at Phenomena

The characters arrive at Phenomena system; it’s everything they’ve been told and then some. Evading the Hegemony picket with relative ease, they arrive at Phenomena, locate the Temple, and land at a previously cleared (by whom?) site with a commanding view of the Temple. They find out that Hottia is deteriorating fast and press into the Temple to find what they can to help her.
Hunt, our Trollish Loremaster, is able to piece together the Phenomena story, discovering that the Temple is a ship from a world which was being pulled into a singularity which had opened near their system. While leaving, their world, their ship was attacked by an Old One, a extradimensional creature of terrific power. They were diverted here, to the world of Phenomena, where they may yet be surviving, somewhere on the world.
The previous group that came here succumbed to the dangers of the Temple, and one of their number turned upon them, using very dark and forbidden powers.
