Kohani

Kohani is said to love all of his followers equally, for he believes they are all capable of healing the most grievous of wounds themselves. Do not let it be said that he doesn't personally interfere in the lives of those who follow him however. He is said to personally attain a new scar for every wound they suffer; physical or mental. This leads to clerics, priests and paladins of Kohani to follow in his stead and personally heal their wounds in ways that leave noticeable scars. Those who are the most dedicated to following under Kohani may perform the Communion of Shared Wounds, a deeply personal act that transfers some of the scars Kohani himself bears unto themselves, creating one of the greatest bonds that can exist between god and devotee.

Tenets of Faith

  • A Healing Touch for All Wounds: Care for the wounded and the sick, regardless of their background or circumstance. Remedies are not just limited to the physical; it encompasses emotional and spiritual healing as well.
  • Healing the Self: Understand that caring for yourself is just as important as healing others. A wounded healer cannot offer their best to those in need. Prioritize self-care and self-compassion to maintain your strength.
  • The Beauty of Scars: Understand that scars are not blemishes to be hidden, but badges of honor that reveal the struggles you have overcome. Embrace the marks on your body and soul, for they reveal the trials you've surpassed, the achievements you've made, and the strength you possess.
  • A Bond of Shared Suffering: Understand that Kohani shares in the suffering of his followers. Just as he offers to bear their scars, he will carry their burdens as well.
  • Preservation of Life: Cherish the gift of life and aim to protect it at all costs. Advocate for peace and strive to prevent needless suffering whenever possible.
  • The Communion of Shared Wounds: Those who are the most committed to the teachings of Kohani may partake in the Communion of Shared Wounds, a solemn act that forges a deep bond between god and devotee. By taking on some of the scars of Kohani, you accept to join in on a shared journey of not just pain, but of one of healing.
