The Twins, Zeh and Ava

As a rule, many of the deities of Yakon have aspects associated with them that are varying degrees of both good and evil. Even the feared Pantheon of Loss has positive connotations attributed to it when the occasional prayer is met with genuine aid and little in terms of cost. This rule does not apply to the Twins, Zeh and Ava. There is nothing but genuine despair and horror that awaits those who dare seek a vision from the Condemned Lantern-Bearers.   Relative to the other deities, the twins are somewhat young. it is not known if the twins were children who after some horrific tragedy willed themselves to ascension, entities that naturally ascended, or perhaps creatures from a different plane entirely. All that is surely known by all, is that to witness a vision from the Twins is to have embraced madness in its entirety. A form of insanity so powerful that even followers of Sura know not to interfere. Their very being is able to completely alter ones fate from its intended course the moment someone glances into their seemingly innocent jar of fireflies. A respected guard could become fated to embrace serial killings, an animal trainer's transition into a depraved poacher, and an accomplished athlete being tragically injured and paralyzed for life are all common outcomes.   Those who worship the Twins either lead the foolhardy towards embracing a vision that will surely doom them for their own gain, or to try to gain enough favor so that a vision won't be their undoing, much to their dismay. There is much power to be gained from ones who can sever the fates of others so drastically, so long as you don't seek the wisdom of Zeh and Ava.

Tenets of Faith

  • Propagation of Visions: Accept your role as the bearer of visions that shatter destinies. Spread the chaotic influence of the Twins by sharing their unsettling visions whenever possible, sowing discord and uncertainty among mortals.
  • Fate as Clay: Understand that fate is not fixed; it is a malleable substance that can be molded and reshaped. Challenge the notion of predetermined destinies, and wield the power of the Twins to alter the paths of individuals to your liking.
  • The Misguided Wisdom of Others: Reject the teachings of those who cling to the other deities, particularly Erwelen and her followers. See them as the fools they are, and mold their "fate" against them.
  • To Sow Chaos is to Gain: Embody the inherent chaos within the world and exploit it for personal gain. Understand that manipulating fate for your own advantage can lead to immense power, so long as you are willing to pay the price.
  • The True Cost: Acknowledge that every alteration of fate comes at a cost. Be prepared to pay the price, whether in personal sacrifices or the suffering of others. The Twins' power demands its due, and you must be willing to give in to their chaotic demands.
  • Unveil Hidden Truths: Seek knowledge and hidden truths that lie beyond the confines of order and reason. Embrace the hysteria that accompanies the revelation of forbidden knowledge.
  • Fate's Puppeteers: Recognize that Zeh and Ava are the puppeteers of fate, pulling the strings of individuals' lives with capricious delight. Embrace your role as their devoted servant, carrying out their whims and orchestrating the chaos they desire.
