Dwarfs - Hill Dwarfs

After losing the settlements in the easter part of the continet many dwarfs there either parished or fled. The majority of those fleeing found refuge among the allied Elven Empire. Over the centuries the dwarfs left behind some of the more militaristic traditions as well as the hard labour in the mines.

The name 'Hill' Dwarfs was initially used a bit derogatory or pityful by the western mountain dwarfs, for their eastern brother lost their homes in the mountains, but over the centuries it lost the sting. Hill Dwarfs now take pride in it as they see what they have gained from living among elves and humans.
