Halflings - Lightfoot & Stout

Halfings history is mostly lost to time. Even their origins is shrouded in mystery. Some assume that they are former Sahuagin slaves like humans, but there is no clear proof of that.

While there have been halfing settlements most of them fell to dragon attacks or other predators. This has lead to halfings spreading out through human and elven realms, some few even to the western dwarfen cities. Nowadays most of them live in the Heartlands and Twin River lands, with a significant number also living in the Kingdom of Gnibili mostly working as farmers and other simple life supplying the gnomish inventors.

Halfings are not known for violance and though some aspire to the life of adventure and a few even rise to heroes. But there are also more daring clans of halfings that are looking for settlements of their own. Such halfings founded Haflingen - a series of small settlements in the south of the Hiyndurill Forest. Many thought them easy prey and attempted to claim their land, but together with the Wood Elves they managed to protect their independence. Halfings from this region tend to be proud and confrontational.
