Loghain Thyane, Clan Chief

Loghain was a legend among the clans of the Griffin Mountains. Half human half goliath he towered most of the other clan chiefs, but also established time and time again as one of the toughest warriors of the continent. Like many Thyane warriors he ventured to the fringes of the Stone Desert in his youth to prove himself.   As the leader of the Thyane clan he gained the reputation for being calm and unshakeable outside of combat. His confidence could be felt on all of his warriors. Yet once he entered battle, like his clansmen, he fell into a beastial rage and turned into an unstopable force of nature. This ferocious way of battle that was typical for the clan always raised rumors of them being able to turn into bears and actual monsters hidding underneath the human skin, yet Loghain and his people always answered to this rumours with hearty laughs. The clan chief though maintained this aura that most (sane) people understood as a warning and thus only few ever dared to challenge the clan since he took over. Yet those that call them friends also know that they can rely on them to stand by their side even when the Abyss comes.     Loghain kept a loose control of his clan most of the time. He prefered to let his clan members go out and gain experience in the world, fight their battles and once they were satisfied and calmed down to return to a calm life in Bhaergraad. Like in 436 YoU Hjaal Shieldbreaker, a young goliath, returned from his journey along the southern coast with a tale of his fight against slavers that threatened the clan territory. The young warrior was followed by Dorn Brashard, a Vaeger, and Rasjha, an aasimar from Aaradem. To celebrate their success and sense of duty Loghain gifted both clan warriors axes from his collection. The young Vaeger would further gain the clan chief's respect as he would return to Bhaersgraad after his journeys sharing stories of battles against fierce foes.   With Ragnar also came Alvery Vestergaard, a young half elf from the Realm of the Middle. Together they would later go to war against an army of cultists and demons that was threatening the city of Korbel. The cultists were lead by a goliath named Al Gaesh, a former member of the Thyane clan, who gathered unruley young clan warriors under his banner - each of them falling to the influence of Qharnate. In 438 YoU Loghain and Alvery lead their assault on the siege of Korbel and defeated the demonic servants, but also plundered the town which harboured slavers.   After the siege together with Alvery Vestergaard, who declared herself the Duchess of Elandirill, Loghain established an alliance to secure a new trade route from Rombella, through Bhaergraad and Elandirill to the Realm of the Middle.     Loghain's loyality to his friends would be again proved in 442 YoU as rumors of an attack on Elandirill were spreading. Lord Baellinger was gathering a private army to attack the new independent Dutchy, so the clan dispatched a small group of warriors to support the garrison of the town, though a short time after that a man called Bloddwyn Bluainach and his orcish friend Yandrak arrived to Bhaergraad, claiming to be allies of Alvery and that a small force of Moon elves was moving through the Thyane territory to attack Elandirill in the back. Recognising the two warriors from stories Loghain quickly gathered his personal guard and together they set out to hunt the elves.   As their enemies had a significant head start the party only caught up with them at the gates of Elandirill. While the towns army was fighting in the fields against lord Baellinger's forces Moon elves were moving through the streets. Loghain and his warriors charged into the surprised elves and quickly established the upper hand.
