The arid region between the Griffon Mountains and the Valley of Life was always a harsh land that scared everyone away. Still it was just harsh back in the time of the Elven Empire, but that changed as events in Saara unfolded in its fight for independence. Demons spread through the region and their influence changed the area forever.
