The Duskmother
Mythology & Lore
The Duskmother is the godess of death and found the humans in their pain. In her role she opposed the Duskfather, but found herself attracted to him. The result is a unique union of contradictions reflected within their followers. While they share churches, they have very opposite followers. At dusk you can observe the cermony as the Duskmothers's priests enter the church from the side of the rising darkness and lead the Dawnfather's believers out of the building in the opposite exits.
While both religions will usually confront and challenge each other there is a truce on church grounds and the rituals are to be respected.
The main religious building is the Cathedral of Day in Eversted. Its a large rotund building that is encircled by to semi circular buildings on the western and eastern side. The western side is know as the building of the Dawnfather and houses his priesters, while the eastern building is dedicated to the priesthood of the Dawnmother. The central building is used by both based on the sun cycle.
