The Corsith Cave Systems

Many people say it’s a miracle that Corsith has not collapsed yet because it quite literally is a miracle. The hundreds of tunnels and thousands of caves under almost every part of the country are not held up by massive support beams or walls, they are being held up by the work of dozens of powerful clerics of Mysron who use their devotee’s powers to hold up the ground above. Each generation sparks new talented clerics who can let older ones retire if needed.
The cave system consists largely of mines but it also has settlements around big entrances here and there, known as Lava Pits, as deep below these wall-mounted settlements, lava is bubbling and heating up the area.
These Lava Pits are only populated by races that are naturally accustomed to heat, most other people would suffer severe physical knockbacks from the dry and hot air. Traversing these settlements is preferably done in the company of an ice mage who can protect whoever is only used to surface climate.
