The Sanglys Arboretum
The Sanglys Arboretum is an abandoned and rundown glass greenhouse that was formerly used by researchers in Fleuroyaume. It was one of the founding facilities that fostered the kingdom's aromatics and perfume industry, one of the primary sources of income and trade for Fleuroyaume. Over time, the Arboretum was no longer needed as the researchers and perfume manufacturers of Fleuroyaume sought out and built larger, more advanced greenhouses to support their endeavours.
When the eight daughter goddesses sealed away their mother to protect everyone from her newfound bloodlust, the goddesses decided that the Sanglys Arboretum was the perfect location to hide her slumbering being. The chamber of Balhayai the Mother Goddess is hidden underground, deep beneath the floor of the Arboretum, though the entrance to the chamber is concealed within the greenhouse itself.
History
When the eight daughter goddesses sealed away their mother Balhayai to protect everyone from her newfound bloodlust, the goddesses decided that the Sanglys Arboretum was the perfect location to hide her slumbering being. The chamber of the Mother Goddess is hidden underground, deep beneath the floor of the Arboretum, though the entrance to the chamber does like concealed within the greenhouse itself. In recent times, the Mother Goddess has slowly been awakening due to disturbances with the land and with the statue wards of the Sororibus Egis. The first individual that she ensnared into serving her was the High King of Fleuroyaume himself, Alois Florent. Before he became the High King and when he was still a young faeling, Alois frequently visited the abandoned Sanglys Arboretum as a place of refuge and escape from the spotlight that followed him as a member of the nobility. As he matured, there were many a woman he whisked away with him to his sanctuary so that they could be affectionate and intimate in peace, without risking the scrutiny of the public eye. Even after he ascended the throne, having won the position in a simple game of vingt-et-un, Alois continued to visit the Sanglys Arboretum whenever the pressures of being the monarch became too much. It was on one of these such trips that he could hear a woman's voice calling to him, beckoning him to awaken her with the pleasures he had provided so many of the companions he had brought to the greenhouse over the years. With the guidance of this voice, Alois was able to find the hidden entrance to the chamber that houses the Mother Goddess, yet their meeting was one of ill-fate for the High King. With Alois instantly captivated by the Mother Goddess' beauty, he fell victim to her trap. One willing soul was all that she needed to truly begin the process of her reawakening. At the request of the Mother Goddess, Alois underwent a transformation into a being that would be able to consume and thrive off of blood, much like the Mother Goddess herself. Once the transition was complete, Alois noticed a black leather band fastened tightly around his neck. Concealed on the underside of the band were six metal pins representing the six stamen of the lily flower fastened to the left side of the choker. These metal pins would periodically prick his flesh and transfer his blood to Balhayai to heal and strengthen her. In reality, the vampiric bloodlust she bestowed upon Alois was an exchange - whenever he consumed blood himself, his own blood would transfer to the Mother Goddess.
Architecture
The Sanglys Arboretum is greenhouse constructed with intricate, green wrought-iron framework and glass panels. As the building has fallen into disrepair, many of the windows have broken and vines have climbed the sides of the walls. The Sanglys Arboretum consists of a large main room with high ceilings and three smaller greenhouses leading off from the sides and from the back of the main room.
