Aural

Aural is a fickle, vain, and evil deity, who was primarily venerated out of fear. She was seen as being synonymous with the Queen of Air and Darkness by some communities of fey, such as those of the Shiverpine Forest Clerics are called Embracers and wear ice white robes with a piercing blue trim. They pray in the cold until a fist-sized block of ice melts against their chest. Clerics are required to kill a creature by cold at least once per winter season as a sacrifice to Aural.   Secular aims of the church of Aural is to control overland roads in snowbound regions and charging hefty tolls to travelers to prevent harsh conditions from affecting their travel.   Major Temple: Frost Spire, a citadel of ice built north of the spine of the world in Centraria

Earning and Losing Piety

  You increase your piety score to Umberlee when you expand the god’s influence in the world in a concrete way through acts such as these:
  • Giving due tribute to the ocean in the form of something that matters to you
  • Taking a sea journey having secured Umberlee’s favour
  • Showing reverence and deference to the dangers of the ocean
Your piety score to Umberlee decreases if you diminish Umberlee’s influence in the world or contradict her ideals through acts such as these:
  • Traveling by sea when the omens are dark and against the wishes of the goddess
  • Not offering due tribute from any spoils gained at sea
 

Piety 3+

  Winter coalesces around you to protect you. You can cast Armor of Agathys with this trait, requiring no material components, a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.    

Piety 10+

You can cast Ice Storm with this trait. Once you cast the spell in this way, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.  

Piety 25+

When you cast a spell that deals cold damage, you can add your Charisma modifier to one damage roll of that spell. Gain resistance to cold damage  

Piety 50+

You can increase your Constitution or Charisma score by 2 and also increase your maximum for that score by 2.
