Earning and Losing Piety
You increase your piety score to the Keeper when you expand the
god’s influence in the world in a concrete way through acts such
as these:
- Guiding souls to their rightful place
- Destroying the plague that is undead machinations
Your piety score to the Keeper decreases if you diminish the Keeper’s
influence in the world or contradict her ideals through acts such
as these:
- Destroying souls
- Raising undead
- Artificially extending life
Piety 3+
As a devotee of The Keeper, you have proven yourself a worthy potential champion of the God of death. You have the ability to choose whose time it is and whose it is not. You gain the ability to cast the s
pare the dying cantrip. You also pledge yourself against the creation of the undead and gain the ability to cast
gentle repose with this trait. Once you cast the spell in this way, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
Piety 10+
You walk among the dead and speak their language. You can cast
speak with dead with this train, requiring no material components. Once you cast the spell in this way, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
Piety 25+
When a soul is sent to its rightful place, you can draw on the energy of the Underworld to empower you. When a creature dies within 10 feet of you, you can use your reaction to gain a number of temporary hitpoints equal to your level.
Piety 50+
You can increase your Intelligence or Constitution score by 2 and also increase your maximum for that score by 2.
