Fisherman
The sea can be a daunting foe, but enterprising individuals can find an invaluable ally in the ever-changing landscape of waves, collecting a plentiful bounty that has built cities and spawned industries, and sometimes begun wars for resources that last for generations. A sailor or trader or pirate might live their lives on the sea, but a fisherman owes his or her life to the sea, and is willing to fight to protect it.
