Witchroot

Witchroot is a magical potion made from the roots of a tree that sprouts from a mages decomposing corpse. The roots are harvested and blended together with blood from a Giant Elk. The Giant Elk must be sacrifed in Loki's name.

Uses: 2 doses per vial
Duration: 1 hour
Effect: +2 to both spell attack bonus and spell save DC.
On casting spells while under the effect you can choose to make a DC 15 CON save to amplify the spell. (Can only be used on spells level 1 or higher.)
Success: Cast the spell 3 levels higher (Max: 9th level) while still expending original level spell slot that was cast.
Fail: Cast the spell 1 level higher while still expending original level spell slot that was cast, but caster suffers 3x physic damage the original spell slot level cast.
If more than one dose is taken within 72 hr period user must make a DC 17 CON save or be trapped in the astral plane for 1d4+2 days.
Witchroot makes user arrogant and lowers inhibition. User is considered intoxicated for duration.
