Loki, driven by a genuine desire for power and recognition, becomes enamored with the Apples of Immortality, seeing them as a means to elevate himself among the gods. As he uncovers the apples' significance, Loki's determination intensifies, injecting tension and distrust into Asgard. His manipulation exploits the complex dynamics between the gods, sowing seeds of discord and conflicts. Recognizing the need for subtlety, Loki enlists the giant Thiazi's assistance in abducting Idunn, creating a symbiotic relationship based on mutual desires. Idunn's absence triggers chaos in Asgard as the gods rapidly age without her golden apples.
Facing the gods' anger, Loki reluctantly agrees to retrieve Idunn, positioning himself as a key player in the unfolding drama. Loki's journey involves cunning transformations and a perilous encounter with Thiazi. He returns with Idunn and the golden apples, restoring youth to the gods. However, the gods, realizing the consequences of Loki's machinations, collectively disown him, shattering the once intricate bond between brothers.
