After the Titans' defeat, Zeus commissioned Prometheus and Epimetheus to populate the world. In a vengeful pursuit against Prometheus for stealing fire, Zeus ordered Hephaestus to craft Pandora, a mortal woman bestowed with gifts from various gods. As a wedding gift, Zeus gave Pandora the Box of Mørkraft, warning her not to open it.
