Mistbreather
Small Mist Breathing Monster
Mistbreathers are a small unieterror species found in the Astral Seas. The only way they've managed to co-exist with Lordricarrs is because they are too small to be noticed by them. SMBM in their code-name stands for Small Mist Breathing Monster.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Their bodies are hidden almost a hundred percent of the time, in a thick cloud of green smog that blends in almost perfectly with the cloudiness of the astral seas. From when they have been studied, these creatures have extremely large heads, with organs in the back of their heads just behind their brains that produce and release the mist through glands that come out either nostril and through their mouth. They have serrated jaws, with large teeth like ridges on them, despite not being observed to ever consume food. These creatures have a small, snake like body with a pair of miniscule arms and legs, ending in 6, amphibian-like fingers and toes. They possess small wings protruding from the back of their heads, with a thick skin between their fingers.; it is assumed these wings are useless as their heads are too heavy for the wings to support.
Ecology and Habitats
Mistbreathers live and thrive in astral seas. They set up "bases", large colonies of the kind, on objects that have been caught up in the mist, and they don't stray far from it. These colonies exist in groups anywhere from 5 to 10, to a thousand; it purely depends on the size of the object they call home.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Mistbreathers have not been recorded to consume and process food. In the three years of them being observed in the UETO Facility, they have not consumed a single piece of food, and over 49,800 types of food has been tested.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The mist from the astral seas make it extremely difficult to see your way in it. Mistbreathers have exceptional eyesight, which makes the mist practically invisible so they can find their way flawlessly in the mist. This makes it easier to terrorise people that wander into their territories.
