Surbaria People
The Surbaria People are an indigenous tribe located along the southern beaches of Tropacia. They are one of the most famous tribes on Greenerth, establishing an incredibly interesting culture.
These people are very well known for using animals in their everyday tasks, be it having leaftops to carry messages for one another, or to have tropical pinchers growing coral to expand the artificial reef. VILLAGES:
The Surbaria People will build huge artificial hills, rich with flowers and trees all planted and carefully grown. They build large burrows intertwined in the hills and these hills traverse along the edge of the beaches.
The walls of the burrows are usually made of sheets of rock. The flooring is a wood type, with symbols and art carved into the floor to create mesmerising patterns. Each pattern is unique to their burrow. The village stretches for about 400m, and goes quite far inland into the rainforest of Tropacia. ETIQUETTE:
When eating the main meal of the day, Surbaria people are given a large bowl with the food in and a small bowl to eat with. They scoop some food into the bowl and then pour it into their mouth. If someone not from Surbaria were to dine here, they would be taught how to eat this way. If not, they may eat how they do in their culture even if it is deemed rude in Surbaria. ARTIFICIAL REEF:
South of the village is a huge tropical reef, which is actually completely man-made! The Surbaria people found a way to harvest coral and regrow them, which meant they could make a new reef. The people sailed to Southland and harvested a ton of coral from the Bridge Reef and brought it back to form a new reef for the wildlife. As there are few natural reefs on Greenerth this was an amazing feat, and brought back many creatures from near extinction. The Surbaria named this reef "Surbaria Reef", very obviously named after them. EVERGLOW POTION:
The Surbaria people are famous for also creating the everglow potion. It is a potion which, when thrown, will kill anything in a 2 meter's radius in a minute. Let's hope that the person can throw far. This potion is very difficult to make however, as it involves extracting the sap of an everglow which can kill anyone in a few minutes.
Unfortunately, the Surbaria people have kept the recipe of the potion a secret, deeming everyone else unfit to use this dangerous potion. All we do know is it requires everglow sap as that is a given based on its use.
