YonZora
Anubis Day day, 22nd of Ares, 500 CD
The Multiverse, with its nine known classes of pantheons, encompasses vast realms, each with its own histories, cultures, and conflicts, and YonZora is but one planet within it. Among its continents, YonZora’s unique geography and cosmology have shaped its story, especially with Azure's last discovery and exploration.
The Six Continents of YonZora
YonZora's six continents, each ruled by monarchs or emperors, are vibrant lands filled with farms, mines, forests, and trade networks. The Western Hemisphere hosts the twin continents of North and South Azure, separated by the Zacigona Peninsula and once united until the Atlantis Disaster in 5000 AD. This cataclysm reshaped the land into two distinct continents, creating a fertile crescent of legends in Azure’s seas, like the Sea of Azure and the Sapphire Ocean. To the east lie Sapphire and Wickbar, across the Sapphire Ocean, while Nagajima lies across the Azure Sea to the west. South of Azure, in the Sea of Odin, stands the island realm of Hemgrun, rich in lore and legend.
Azure: The Last Frontier
While the races of YonZora explored the other lands, Azure remained isolated due to superstition, treacherous waters, and conflict among the Greek, Roman, Norse, and Egyptian pantheons. These turbulent deities left Azure untouched for centuries, allowing its native populations to flourish in solitude. The elves, with no record of their existence on YonZora prior, were the first nonnative arrivals, followed by dwarves, tieflings, dragonborn, and finally, humans. Elven chronicles mark Azure as a beacon of peace until the arrival of other races brought conflict to its shores.
The Rise of Conflict
Peace did not last long. A native clan known as the Silver Hearts sparked a brutal war by annihilating a dragonborn village, igniting battles with Azure's diverse humanoid inhabitants. Two years into the conflict, the Stewards of YonZora, protectors and arbiters of balance, intervened, bringing a temporary peace but dividing the elven races. Human settlers then arrived, expanding their kingdoms across Azure and intensifying power struggles. The cruelties of the Atlanteans led to their civilization's downfall, and soon after, the Silver Hearts forged alliances with the Black Legion and the Black Moon Empire, sparking the War of the Ancients. In this devastating conflict, the Pendragon line emerged, leading the united realms to a costly victory but at the loss of the Stewards of YonZora.
Present Day
It has been 500 years since the War of the Ancients. North and South Azure have enjoyed a tenuous peace, yet whispers of an ancient power have reached the throne of Avalon, raising fears of a threat surpassing even the Black Legion and Black Moon Empires. Should it rise, this force could engulf all of Azure.
Now, the Kings of the realms seek those who can rise to the occasion. Champions, heroes, and adventurers—perhaps hidden in the multiverse itself—may be the only hope to uncover and defeat this lurking menace before it consumes all.
