Baba Yaga

Baba Yaga is an inscrutable spirit and oracle whose true motivations remain nebulous.
She is fickle, capricious, and paradoxical. Her fey aspect places her close to the god Pan, and her playful malevolence is akin to Loki’s, whilst her dark magic puts her in the domain of Hecate, and indeed some believe her to be an avatar of the Goddess of Night and Magic.
However, her actions frequently contradict all of these tendencies, and it could equally be said she is a true Nature Spirit, unfettered by allegiances with the gods. Some have suggested she is on occasion in league with demons.
