Fateweavers
Legend tells of the Norns, shrouded females of giant stature, who weave the tapestry of Fate and know the destinies of all mortals.
A select few can actually see the threads that the Norns spin to bind the soul to its destiny. These are the Fateweavers.
Gifted at birth, they hail from many different cultures across Yore, Some say Baba Yaga is one such Weaver, while others deny it. There are Weavers amongst Elves, Dwarfs, Humans (particularly the Kariv, Thassilonians, Keshites and Sinhari), Centaurs, Tortles, Orcs, and even Gnolls and Giants. There are Weavers among the nobility, and Weavers among peasants.
They do not gather together like Druids, nor build temples or churches. They are more or less respected in their societies - those that reveal their skill, that is - but are often seen as "other", and even feared or occasionally shunned for the knowledge they possess.
As such, the Fateweavers are not so much a religion, or even a sect or cult, but they are united by their common gift, and one Weaver can always recognise another.
They do not worship the Norns, give prayers or offerings, or conduct rites or ceremonies. But they do submit, often with heavy hearts, to the weight of inevitability. The Fateweavers believe every soul is tied to the weave of fate, and none can escape their foretold destiny.
