The Ruin of Tsen

Once, the glorious city of Tsen was the jewel in the crown of Eastern Arcady, sat as it was upon rich veins of lead, iron and silver. But in 769 N.E., during the times of The Great Darkness, the city was sacked by demons and devastated by powerful sorceries. Shortly afterwards, in 771, during the short-lived rule of Aka Bakar upon the throne of Feirgotha, the already ruined city fell to a demonic curse that killed its remaining inhabitants along with every living plant and beast for miles around. Even now the city is crawling with mutant vermin and worse, and the very air is said to be poison to breathe.   To Tsen it was that Aka Bakar drove back the Armies of Darkness with his Sword of Air, and here the demon scourge was finally ended, by the noble self-sacrifice of Arden the Elder God of Light. Some Tyrian soothsayers and Nurian witch doctors whisper that somewhere below the ruined city, a secretive sect of hideously mutated, immortal and insane priests still worship their Sundered God. Others say that they guard the portal to N’Kai, the Prison of Hecate, where Tsathoggua sleeps and plots along with his restless minions. Those who value their sanity stay well clear of the accursed City of Tsen.
