Pink Dragons

Dragons are notorious for being fierce predators. The mere mention of a dragon is enough to send a chill down the spines of even the bravest of warriors. Few can withstand a dragon's frightening presence, and those that can don't tend to last very long against its powerful breath. They are symbols of power and pride, adorning the crests and banners of history's most powerful empires and clans.   Pink dragons defy these stereotypes. Where other dragons are proud and dignified, pink dragons are playful and tricksy. They are known to be the best conversationalists, which makes up for their overall lack in defensive capabilities. Their scales have an almost hypnotic quality to them, which aids the pink dragon in avoiding direct conflict. In place of a devastating breath attack, pink dragons produce a stream of bubbles which, while capable of temporarily blinding anyone who comes in contact with them, is largely incapable of harming another creature, and is primarily used as an escape tactic rather than an actual offensive move.

Biology

Diet

Pink dragons are omnivores, though will prefer a herbivorous diet if meat is not provided for them.

Habitat

Pink dragons tend to make their home as close to existing civilization as possible. This gives them plenty of access to food and other necessities, as well as simplifies the process of expanding its hoard. Pink dragons are also known to travel, taking up a nomadic lifestyle, usually joining a travelling theater troupe or circus.

Draconic Features

Bubble Breath

The pink dragon's breath attack consists of them firing off a stream of bubbles. By themselves, the bubbles are harmless, but if they pop within a few inches of another creature's eye(s), it will cause a burning sensation that temporarily blinds the creature. Adding a light stream of water is usually enough to alleviate the temporary blindness and burning, though, making it a rather ineffective attack.

Hypnotic Scales

The scales on a pink dragon refract light in just the right way to create an alluring pattern that seems to change as the dragon moves. The pink dragon can utilize this alluring light to enthrall others for a period of time, with older dragons capable of permanently enthralling creatures who are susceptible enough to its effects.

Hoarding Laughter

Pink dragons all crave one thing: laughter. They are always in search of a good joke or routine, and will seek out jesters and bards to study and learn from. Some pink dragons have even published books full of jokes and humorous riddles in order to share their hoards with others.
