Longclaw(s) / Scalehunter(s) - Ferocious, bipedal, hot-blooded reptiles bedecked with crests of feathers and hooking talons on every digit. Scalehunters come in many shapes and colors, and may be sparsely feathered or entirely covered in plumage; longclaws in particular bear an enormous claw on the innermost toe of each hind foot, giving them their name as well as an exceptionally lethal reputation. Scalehunters are almost extinct in most parts of mainland Ysireth, but they thrive in the Shattered Isles, and travelers should be extremely wary of any wild specimens they may encounter. Some Urkvari and lesser races have trained--not domesticated--these swift-moving creatures as hunting companions or even mounts, as some can be as large as 6’ at the withers.
