Zef'Aeldvari
Wind Elves (formerly hy’Aeldvari) are alternately considered Heavens Elves because of their relation to birds-flying-in-the-sky or Wild Elves because of their relation to birds-as-just-animals. Most of them consider themselves Heavens Elves. They are also known as Sky Elves, Bird Elves, and Singing Elves; some Hymvari call them Angel Elves. They are attuned to Air magic and are usually diurnal, but may also be nocturnal or crepuscular.
As small as Sun Elves at an average 5’ tall, Wind Elves are petite and light in frame, but far from frail. Their skin ranges from a pale blue to eggshell white; their eyes have light but brightly-colored irises and white sclera; and their feathery hair is usually either white or dark grey.
Wind Elves are known for being incredibly quick in thought and movement, having homes set high in the branches of trees or the sides of cliffs, and being straightforward and self-confident. Their aesthetic incorporates feathers and weaving patterns, and their architecture, such as it is, tends to prize decorative clutter and minimal solid structure. They are mildly manabound, preferring mana once a month on average, and live an average of 750 years.
Their language, Zefvaren or Zeffar, has remarkably few dialects despite the geographical spread of its speakers and can be both lyrical and harsh and loud.
