Subjects develope this condition spontaneously, and if they bite or scratch another sane subject, it becomes infected.

Causes

When a natural spirit possesses a mortal body, often it's not strong enough to take it over completely, but can only influence the origininal soul inside the body.
In this case, a mortal sarts to hear the call of Quenlan, thelling him to abandon civilization for the forest.

Symptoms

A mortal hearing the call of Quenlan begins slowly to reject any kind of civilization. It starts with being antisociable and lonely, shifting attention towards plants and wild animals, and in the end the subject leaves and moves to the forest.

Treatment

A powerful enchantment can stop the symptoms, but it's not a definitive cure. The subject will begin the process again, and it will be harder to charm him again in the same way.

Prognosis

There are different stages:
  1. Rejection Stage: the subject proves repulsion towards cooked food, artificial buildings and clothes.
  2. Community Stage: the subject leaves civilization to live in small communities in the forest. He stops using anything artificial, and eats raw flesh and plants. Some kind of communication is still possible.
  3. Wild Stage: the subject delvest deeper in the wild, leaving even the communities inside the forest. He is uncapable of any kind of communication and is aggressive towards humanoids. The subject shows signs of cannibalism. At this point the condition in not curable.
  4. Feral Stage: the subject is covered in thich hair resembling fur, and has grown fangs and claws, He is extremely aggressive and dangerous. The subjects shows a quadrupedal motion.
