Ruins of Lavædriè
The Elves that now roam the plains north of the mountains, once ruled the skyes. The lengends tell that the desendants of the fey once had wings, and built cities in the clouds. It is unknown what happened to those cities, or why were abandoned, but sometimes it's still possible to sight them in the clouds near the sunset.
The Floating City of Lavædriè was told to be the most beautiful city in the world. Its inhabitants were artist and poets, and the city itsself was a piece of art, a verse of poetry. It is unknown what happened to it once the elves left. Some say it crushed somewhere in teh great plains, other that it rose higher in the sky abandoning forever the mortal realm to return in the feywild, but no answer is certain.
History
In ancient times, the Elves ruled the skyes, on their beautiful flying cities. Around year 12330 this city crushed on the misty mountains, for unknown reasons. Some say a powerful spell that went wrong, others that the city went too high and En punished its inhabitants for their hubrys.
The ruins were first discovered in 14389 by a human expedition. The logs written by the explorers say that:
The landscape seems from another world. Between the peaks of two snow-capped mountains, lie the ruins of a city, but the city is not build on one of the mounts. It is built on a block of rock as large as a mountain, that seems to have crushed onto the mountain range.
In more recent times, scholars identified the ruins with the city of Lavædriè, but the attribution is uncertain.
