Nora

A young, mischievous nun of Erastil, with light, freckled skin and light red hair. She was found as a baby at the Temple of Erastil in the small village of Stonegratten, and raised by Sister Nancy alongside other orphans at the church. Despite her teacher's best efforts, Nora never "fit in" with the other children, or anyone for that matter, since she always seemed a little "off". She would think differently than other kids, become fixated on the strangest things, and was oddly sensitive to others emotions. Her loose lips didn't help, as she would always speak the strange, often inappropriate, things that were on her mind.   Because of her strangeness, the other children kept their distance, and even the other priests and nuns eventually gave up on her, with the exception of Sister Nancy, who was a strict, if loving, teacher and mother figure to Nora. As such, Nora grew up a lonely girl, which only encouraged her to act out more, thinking up strange pranks, developing a potty mouth, and spending more of her time at Sathius's tavern.   She met Sathias for the first time as a little girl and, since he was one of the only people not to treat her like she was strange (and people thought he was strange too, being an elf and all), she immediately grew attached to him. Spending a lot of her free time at his inn, she eventually became a pseudo-assistant manager as she became a teenager and young adult, watching the inn for him when he was gone.   At some point, some paladins of Llomedai were visiting the temple in Stonegratten on a pilgrimage, and she overheard a few of them trying to pressure one of their friends into trying to sleep with "the weird girl". Feeling humiliated and embarrassed, she decided to get back at the guy by playing dumb and going along with it, going so far as to sleep with him, and then she stole his holy symbol, which was enchanted with a magical set of plate mail and great-hammer, though she didn't know at the time. She's kept it ever since.   Eventually, while helping Sathias rescue the Queen of Grattenmar, it was revealed that she is actually an Aasimar, the daughter of the Angel Caphriel, who was banished to the mortal realm as a follower of Shun. With Raina, Ira, and Opal, she defeated her mother, spared her, and spent time getting to know her before deciding to let her go.   She is a bit of a flirty woman, throwing a lot of affection at pretty boys like Garyon and Treagin. She eventually won Treagin over on the night before the battle with the Empire.

Post-War

Immediately after the war, Nora accompanied Treagin and Serene on their belated coming-of-age journey to find diamonds and resurrect Damian’s family. She and Treagin get a lot closer during that journey. After returning from the journey, Nora moves to Axe’s Edge and, seeing that “y’all need Erastil”, builds a new temple there. She works miracles on behalf of her goddess, healing the land that had been poisoned by Mother Gristlegums, curing illness, and bringing bountiful harvests to the people in the Bernaldts domain. As such, she quickly became beloved by the people of the Bernaldts’ domain. She also ventured with the bernaldts into the Ogrekin Swamp many times, healing the land of its corruption and eventually making the swamp safe to travel through (smashing some ogre skulls along the way didn’t hurt either).   Only after gaining quite the reputation as a holy woman in the region did Nora ask David and Jacob for Treagin’s hand in marriage. And what choice did they have at that point? The two wed, Nora finally got a last name, and they had eight children together (yes eight. Goddess of Fertility!)   After watching over her for a time, Nora’s mother eventually gained to courage to face her again, and the two reconciled, with Nora’s mother helping raise Nora’s own children to make up for missing out on her own daughter’s childhood.
