Personal history

Vakan was a high elvish warlock whose half-elf sister was denied entry into the Glass Rangers, then murdered. He swore vengeance on the Elves as a result. He began working with the Orcs and the Drow in order to bring down Issilidur. During this, he fell in love with Raina Tallatina, who spurned her arranged marriage for him. Upon discovering his treachery, however, Raina left him and let the Council deal with him.
He was later discovered working to cure the Orcs from the plague that had been devastating their numbers (spread by a few genocidal Elves). Captured and in possession of one of the Star Stones, he later revealed that he'd been working with the Drow to invade Cassal Issilidith and destroy the city. He had sworn his soul to Lolth, and attempted to turn Raina into a dryden in order to "save" her. In his twisted way, he still loved her. Raina shot him and ended his schemes.
