Aquius

Aquius are a sea faring race know for their hands in mercantilism. These fish men are on average 5-6 feet with varying colors of scales, and different sizes of fins standing with a mostly humanoid stature. It vaguely looks like the head of an aquius is being eaten by a fish half their size but this is simply a vestige from when they were completely fish. many legends claim that a genie made the aquius race and many of the aquius worship this "creator" by the name of "Yurt". An aquius will spend a fair amount of it's life in the water but, there is a fair amount of them that live on land in port countries like Raston or Ban using baths to refresh their skin and rehydrate themselves. A typical profession for them is merchants because it enables them to make a living out of swimming on the job, while picking up expensive artifacts. The secondary reason many of them are merchants is it gives them an outlet to research their ancestors who refused to dwell on land. It isn't uncommon for them to be rich from the treasures they find in the oceans and from their personal businesses. There is an underwater nation made up of only Aquius but, they don't communicate with the other nations and are seemingly simple in nature.
