Demi-man

Half yuman and half beast, demi-men is the blanket term used to encompass any beats with yuman traits or any yumans with beast traits. Throughout history demi-men have been used as a slave race along with beast men, a now extinct race. They were typically seen as a reminder to yumans of the inferior beast men that they razed and would see them as lesser than eyesore that should be treated as such. The animosity that was brought on by yumans led to a much more widespread stigma about anyone who would associate with Demi-men. Life over the centuries have improved for demi-men, in most nations they are now recognized as citizens with few exceptions. Many races still look down on them as inferior yumans but, with this discrimination it's common to find nations with solely demi-men as the population disallowing any other races from entering these nations. In normal nations it's common to see demi-men, many are laborers and doing the dirty work no one wants to do in these nations. It isn't impossible to for a demi-man to be successful, a few have high positions in other nations but, many just choose to move to demi-men nations around the Ring of Diss to avoid discrimination.
