Fairies

fairies are know as the race that is most in tune with nature, typically taking on healer or shaman roles. Physically they are a bit smaller than yumans ranging from 4-4.5 feet and typically taking on a younger appearing form for a majority of their 800 year lifespan. They typically have a more saturated skin tone like pink or teal with hair that bunches up in a way that resembles leaves. In the world fairies are typically viewed as outsiders and hermits because they rarely go into the high-mana-density zones close to the spire. Although they are outsiders they are welcome outsiders as they have an adverse effect on the environment around them being able to communicate with animals and improve the health of crops and even at times heal people's wounds. Fairies themselves don't enjoy this sort of lime light and see this as a nuisance on the few occasions they have to go into cities. There are a few groups of fairies that live inside cities and empires but they typically make their presence scarce to make sure they aren't bothered by other people who want them to fix their wounds and heal their crops.

Biological Traits

Stature of 4-4.5 ft with Humaniod features and apendages. Typically has a set of 2-4 wings that are similar in nature to that of an insect. Skin pigmentation That ranges from hot pink to royal blue, however the pink is far more common. Hair bunches in leaf like patterns giving most onlookers a sense of whimsy. These creatures are by most metrics considered the byproduct of nature's hold on Yis.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Fairies are not exclusively loctaed in one country and in no point in history has really had one they ruled over. It is far more common to see them spread across the world living where ever they find a nice place to settle down. It is however, far more typical to find them in nomadic tribes or villages in the middle of the wilds.

Average Intelligence

They aren't considered to be the smartest in Yis however, more often than not, they are considered to have a vast amount of wisdom about nature and the world. This is not however true, this is an old and scewed perception that has been held by mellenlia before Fairies would widely live in cities and countries.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

All Fairies have the ability to see in low lighting and darkness however, most have no ability to preceive mana and magic with their average senses. Fairies with a wild connection have the ability to speak and commune with all facets of nature.

Mythical protrusions- Fairies have a set of four wings, two large and two small. Passively Fairies can fly their movement for up to one minute every long rest.
Night vision- all Fairies have the capacity to see in the dark granting them dark vision.
