Raston

Raston at the moment is the largest and most powerful country in Yis, with its empire spanning 7 spires famously having a very varied climate seeming to have 8 distinct seasons a year. The reason it has been allowed to grow so large is because Raston was geographically the birthplace of the Grimar empire. Shortly after the final emperor of Grimar passed away he gave his first son Drake III, Raston and split the rest of the empires territory among his handlers angering Drake. Since Drake III took power it has been Raston’s will to conquer the surrounding land once again. Within its borders you can find a vast culture of all types of people due to its massive size and political reach throughout the globe. The current ruler Pierre Galhar, handles his politics and affairs in a very unique manner for Yis as he's long dismissed all of his handlers and instead takes all of his decisions from the public truly giving every citizen equal say, including those who currently aren't living within the country. He sees to manifest that citizens' wants exceptionally however continues to build a military in hopes of one day indoctrinating suurounding nations into Raston with little care for every other political leader. The Isles of Ras and other countries immediately surrounding Raston must show no signs of weakness as they know Raston would conquer them at a moment’s notice. This constant pressure applied by Raston has made the entire surrounding region the most technologically advance out of the entire world and raised the quality of life significantly. The primary threat to Raston is a long time rival Kaikaiki and both seem to be at their wits end with each other. The country itself has become very industrialized with very few rural areas within the borders and the areas that are rural are only left alone for farming and livestock. Raston itself is widely known as the melting pot of the entirely of Yis with it's vast array of people and place representing almost everything the world can offer. Raston is seen as somewhat of a holy land for people in southern Yis, you’ll find many immigrants who moved to Raston from the ring of diss searching for a more stable life. Although it’s seen as a paradise by many, there a quite a few countries that live in fear of Raston.
