Vessels

A vessel is the ultimate reward and end goal of a spire, so much so that many enter a spire solely for a shot at attaining a vessel. These vessels are what would allow mortals to wield what would be described as god like powers. These vessels are formed once a conqueror and God make a contract of sorts, that allows a mortal to wield the power of a God while the mortal must represent the god as a delegate in an event called The Tournament of The Gods. Vessels themselves don't have a stagnant amount of power and instead self regulate the mana input flowing through the user to the amount they can handle. Since they are self regulating this means that a weak user is usually easy to spot because they will not be able to preform more technical actions with a vessel such as equipping and manifesting the god onto the material plain at will. For some they have acquired a level of proficiency with their vessel that they could be compared to the 14 mages in amount of raw power but, the world has not changed significantly due to the fact that users only have access to the domains that the gods they possess do.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Each vessel somewhat serves as a conduit to allow the user to utilize the ability of the God that dwells within, meaning that a vessel's main component is the God. The God in the vessel can choose to stop allowing their power to be used and make the vessel a piece of average metal if they so choose but, this typically never happens. The vessel is also a necessary component for the equip process, if a user does not physically have their vessel they can no longer equip and are completely powerless. When an equip is activated, the god starts to evenly spread it's power through both the user and the vessel meaning that the user becomes a vessel of sorts and has all of the abilities of a vessel. While equipped a vessel will typically take a form of the metal it once was and additional armor that surrounds the body of the user, sometimes even modifying their physique, and if the vessel was armor or accesory the inverse would occur, manifesting a weapon.

Significance

These vessels are very significant for many reasons depending on who you ask. For the religious group of Yis hold vessels as one of the most valuable things on the planet, some sects would even go as far as to attempt to conquer spires and attempt to assassinate conquerors. For rulers of nations, these are seen as badges of honor and additions to military might due to the immense raw power bestowed into a competent vessel users. To an average person however, these are seen as a shot to attain a better life and a position of power as if one has a vessel they will typically be bestowed with vast riches and incredible offers from those who wish to utilize their new found abilities.
