Clan Baiyur̃ag
In Clan Aenun, an archaic religion was dying out. Hoping to renew and grow their faith, pilgrims traveled west in search of sacred locations they only knew of by text and song. Near the coast, they discovered ancient buildings inhabited by a small group of zealots. Unable to go farther, the pilgrims merged with this group, relieved to find they worshiped the same god. They believed this group, unrelated to them, to be proof that their deity was real. Unbeknownst to them, the zealots were actually descendants of their shared ancestors.
In the distant past, the Cult of Baiyur̃ag crossed the sea and settled on the northwestern coast of Fokuhai after a schism in their ranks. They were followers of the God-Dragon Baiyur̃ag, enemy of the Cycle-Begetter Paezamei. When times became more difficult than they had ever experienced, they began worshipping Paezamei in the belief that Baiyur̃ag had abandoned them. These people, most born in Fokuhai, were led by Aenuneir into the east. He claimed to have defeated Baiyur̃ag's spawn, BBB, and they settled upon the dragon's empty lair. Over time, they lost or destroyed their ancestor's information in hopes of preventing a return to Baiyur̃ag. However, a small group reformed. These were the pilgrims. The group they discovered on the western coast was the remnants of the Cult, having stayed when Aenuneir lead their traitorous brethren away.
