Fereshteh
Fereshteh is the God/Goddess of Death. In keeping with the inevitable and universal nature of death, Fereshteh is a hermaphroditic being, in so much as a god can have sex or gender. She is usually referred to using female pronouns, although technically male pronouns are equally valid.
Fereshteh is considered a kind and gentle god, easing the passing of those who fall into her domain with love and caring. All things die eventually, and so she teaches (and instructs her clergy to teach) that death is not something to be feared, but to embrace fully when the time comes. Her clerics move about the world attempting to ease the passing of all those they meet who are near to passing, relieving pain and providing comfort wherever possible. Clerics of Fereshteh make poor adventurers, as their views on the inevitability of death leave them less enthusiastic about aiding their party than followers of other, more passionate deities.
Fereshteh maintains no relationships with any other deity, and feels no need to. All beings comes to her flock in the end.
She usually appears as a tall, slender androgynous figure with soft curvature: more elfin than skeletal. Her face is covered by an expressionless mask, and her long black hair reaches the floor, hanging about her in a way that suggests a black, hooded robe.
