Karlan

Karlan is worshipped by the Ratfolk as a god of health and renewal, a representative of the way Ratfolk can help the larger communities they dwell in by managing and consuming their waste, keeping the community as a whole healthier. The healers of any given Ratfolk community will almost certainly be connected to Karlan or his worship in some way.
As Ratfolk tend to live in the sewer systems of their parent communities, Karlan's temples are often placed in out of the way chambers where tunnels come to dead ends, featuring elaborate and often beautiful altars constructed from cleaned and reclaimed detritus of the city above. Karlan's priests have a tendency to use a scavenged item of personal significance in place of a holy symbol or amulet.
