Madame Auraline

Madame Auraline is a centuries old kotel woman that runs Comfort Hills, a place for people to come and spend time with the women of the hills, and find comfort with them in whatever manner they can. She only allows women to work in her establishment, as it also functions as a boarding house for women in need. Madame Auraline had spent a long time learning skills to make sure her business stays as independent as possible. She herself has learned many healing techniques to keep the girls healthy and whole, or to tend to those who come to her in need. She also uses her magic to bring a violent wrath upon any who harm her girls in anyway said girls do not approve of.
The amount of gossip, rumors, and secrets she has accumulated over the years from the loose lips of pleased patrons means that Madame Auraline is considered a real powerhouse in the political dealings of Stendusdale. One must be very cautious about provoking her ire, as not only is she a fairly skilled mage, but she can destroy the livelihood and reputation of nearly anyone she chooses. A few words whispered into the ears of the right people could see the target of her fury arrested and convicted of any and all sorts of crimes; whether they actually did them or not doesn't really matter.
As a means of maintaining its independence, every girl at Comfort Hills is required to learn additional skills to keep the place running. As such, Madame Auraline has almost created a self-sustaining little community, generating enough income outside of the expected skills to ensure the needs of everyone are met, on top of what they earn as a companion.
As a lady of comfort herself, she has her own clients, but as the owner of Comfort Hills, the number of names on that list is very short. Typically, Madame Auraline only deals with important people, or long time friends and allies. This is normally because she is too busy elsewhere to take part in tending to the regular folk that enter her establishment. During the rare times when she is available for anyone to spend time with, she has proven to be an exceptional companion, soothing away the fears, and stress of hard lives and dangerous times.
