Mentrak Academy of Arms

Though an academy in name this school focuses as its name suggests, in the ways martial. Its class sizes massive in comparison and its graduation sizes equally so. After two years of general studies, which include tactics, mathematics, literacy, and logistics, They then are separated into specialized classes where they will remain for an additional two years studying a particular method or style of warfighting. When the students or cadets as they are often called move into their final years they begin to specialized in a particular weapon. Where the third and fourth years may have learned how a phalanx work or the tactics of skirmishers, the fifth and sixth year students will learn every inch of the polearm or axe (in those cases). For graduation the classes have mock battles utilizing second year students where the winning armies cadre will graduate and the defeated staying an extra cycle to seek victory another day.   Mentrak opens its doors to foreigners and lower class people with the aptitude for combat as well as its more affluent students. These foreigners and lower class students recieve a scholarship whose funds are gathered from a mixture of mock battles with noble armies, simple manual labor, and most notably its high profile alumni.
