At the end of small half or full meter shafts curves and single edged blade of similar length. These weapons were originally developed from the harvesting tool of similar name. Made from necessity by the original farming cultures who inhabited the region, the blades handles were shortened for the gorilla like warfare implemented by the scouts of old. Though they were often made sturdier by forge welding two scythe blades together or riveting bands of metal along the back edges, modern versions are crafted to a sturdy thickness and fullered for weight reduction. Modern version also can feature weighted pommels or metal jackets for the pole to further increase the balance.
