The Kalyugi devastates the world.

The end came suddenly. The earth shook and rended itself asunder, then the monsters erupted from the underground. Ferocious and unstoppable, the cities of humanity were devastated, none hit harder than the glorious capital of Zamhita. Much of humanity was wiped out that day, the trauma of which was embedded into the cultural psyche for centuries to come. The worst blow came when the Emperor and his family were wiped out without a trace. It was this that marked the true end of the Zamzian Empire, for without a strong, unifying figure, everything began to fall apart.
