Kingdom of Valdorin
Alonnon Valdorin IX was put on the throne as a young boy after the fall of the Inoan Empire. It's then emperor, referred to now mostly as the False God, had taken the land by force, killing Alonnon Valdorin VIII and subjugating the people. Although many tried, it wasn't until years later that the emperor was defeated by a famed group of heroes, cementing themselves a place in children's bedside tales for years to come.
Although by some considered mythological figures at this point, a few of these heroes live on in the hearts of the people. Some inspired religious segregations, some inspired festivals in small forest-side villages, all are idolized. After the fall of the Inoan Empire, the people were desperate for a Valdorin to reclaim the feathered throne, and found their rightful king in the young Alonnon Valdorin. Some were not so happy with this change in rule, and split off from the kingdom. The Free Men, as they call themselves, have been steadily growing their alliances over the last hundred years and have been at war with the Valdorian Kingdom ever since they became a credible threat.
Now, these two warring nations, separated by the giant Jothrok mountain range. have found themselves at a stand still near the Broken Spine pass. Alonnon Valdorin IX sits on his throne to this day, beloved by his people, but his kingdom has fallen apart, and continues to crumble.
