Drono Ipt Samel The beginning.
As a youth, Drono was raised by his noble family, privy to wealth, comfort and higher education. Arrogant and cruel to his fellow classmates he would often end up being scolded by his family for lacking tact and not knowing when to pick a fight. by his late teens his misbehaviour could no longer be tolerated. His family ceasing any protections his family brought him in hopes to broaden his horizons and to quell his fearlessness. little could they have realised such actions only caused him to become even more capable in his cruelty, using the resources available to him he created his own network, outsourcing problems he encountered and even hiring criminals. fearing their own child and the actions he committed they hired outside help using other noble families who Drono had wronged in hopes of burying the child under the pretence of a "terrible accident". Drono didn't take such actions lightly, secretly already having his fingers dipped into his family's business he caught wind of such actions before it was too late. He fled. for the first time in his life he fled, such a bitter feeling he felt. Cruel indignation swirled in his gut. he fled for a long time their pursuit tenacious to say the least.
The Middle.
Drono had been pursued for years, although not skilled in subterfuge he knew some of the best things he could do were to lay low, shut up and steer clear from the keen eye. During this time he learned he had a penchant for magic, dabbling in the arcane arts he found great enjoyment from such activities. during his studies he was approached by a strange recruiter in the dead of night, this individual found promise in Drono's capabilities and promised resources and power in return for Drono's service, al said with the most reassuring smile and promise of safety. Little did Drono know at the time he was manipulated by a charm spell into lowering his defences. joining this individual at the place promised Drono found himself surrounded by cloaked individuals led by an elderly man. It quickly became clear they were vampires, my knowledge on the creatures brief, like that of a child who got told scary bedtime stories, a was woefully unequipped and unprepared but sadly outpowered and outnumbered. I played along with their ritual being turned by the leader himself. afterwards they begun a ritual which quickly became clear would be an oath/command that would forever force my subservience to this individual. For the first time in Drono's life he experienced true terror. the prospect of his entire life and future being forfeit to the will of a stranger. Breathless and without even the strength to stand he fell to his knees, but almost simultaneously a large tremor shook the cave walls, some who were a little startled looked around whilst the old man continued the oath but the tremors did not abade, they only grew stronger. to the point that the cave was starting to collapse around us, one of the henchmen rushed up to their leader ushering him out of the cave as soon as possible. another lackey attempted to detain me but the collapsing cave collapsed around me whilst the others escaped. Multiple cave networks closed off with the tremors finally settling, Drono looked around himself mystified at what had just occurred. he was not only unharmed, he was even cordoned off from the others. with freedom at his grasp he took it, escaping into the night.
The Now.
Drono has come along way from before, it's been 71 years since the collapse, Drono opted to be very careful with his new gift, researching everything he could to familiarise himself with his new gift, and keeping tabs on the one who turned him, tracking him was difficult what with vampires being a secretive lot by necessity, over time he pressured this old man from the shadows, after all, Drono got some unique gifts with his Onomancy magic. Due to many years of tireless effort and planning Drono managed to successfully get the old codgers name using his talents, with this he sold his information to vampire hunters and holy inquisitions causing great grief to the old man. Years passing Drono finds himself seeking to strengthen his magic by finally stepping out of the shadows and finding people he can trust to watch his back.
